Job Summary

RAYUS Radiology, formerly known as the Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is seeking a CT Technologist to join our team. We are committed to redefining radiology, making it a crucial step in diagnosis and treatment. Join us in making a difference! As a CT Technologist, you will operate scanners to capture images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. With a patient-focused approach, you will deliver scanning services adhering to professional standards and exceptional customer service. Patients rely on us for answers, and you will help guide them through the process, addressing their questions and concerns about exam procedures. This position is part-time working Saturdays 8:00am - 1:00pm at our West Boca Center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Patient CT Imaging (90%)

  • Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contradictions, using two identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure.
  • Prepare and explain scanning procedures to patients, positioning them appropriately.
  • Perform routine and advanced imaging procedures for physicians to diagnose and treat illnesses or injuries, providing patient support throughout the procedure.
  • Adjust scan parameters as needed, using dose reduction techniques appropriately.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and good working relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and colleagues.
  • Follow physicians' orders precisely and adhere to safety regulations to protect yourself, patients, and coworkers.
  • Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keep the work area orderly and clean, promoting safety for patients and coworkers.
  • Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
  • Ensure equipment is in good working order, cleaning and disinfecting it after each use.
  • Comply with all HIPAA guidelines.

(5%) Scanning Department Support

  • Help maintain an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
  • Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
  • Assist in training new associates, providing technical expertise as needed.

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

  • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Training and experience sufficient to perform scanning procedures independently.
  • CT certification.

Preferred:

  • Bilingual.
