RAYUS Radiology, formerly referred to as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is in need of a CT Technologist to become a part of our expanding team. As a CT Technologist, your primary role will involve operating assigned scanners to capture images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. With a patient-centric approach, you will carry out scans according to professional guidelines while delivering top-notch customer service. Patients visit our centers seeking answers, and you will be instrumental in guiding them through the examination process by offering support, explanations, and address any queries or apprehensions they may have about the procedures. This position is per diem, working schedule are 08:00am - 4:30pm varies days.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient CT Imaging
- Pre-examination, the patient is assessed for any precautions or contradictions specific to the examination, with two patient identifiers employed to verify the correct patient and procedure
- Explaining and getting patients ready for scanning imaging tests entail informing them about the process and ensuring they are positioned correctly to capture images accurately
- Conducts regular and advanced scanning imaging tests on specified body parts to aid physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illnesses and injuries with minimal supervision or repeated scans, all the while offering patient support through verbal interaction during the procedure
- Correctly alters scan parameters during imaging procedures and adjusts them as required, employing dose reduction methods as appropriate
- Sustains a constructive approach and nurtures favorable working relationships with radiologists, referred clientele, and peers
- Strictly follows the guidance provided by physicians and adheres to safety regulations meticulously to protect yourself, patients, and colleagues
- Manages patient records efficiently in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Supports a culture of safety by consistently keeping the work area organized and clean for the well-being of patients and coworkers
- - Administers ACR toolkit and accreditation guidelines
- Maintains the upkeep of equipment; sanitizes and disinfects equipment after every use
- Upholding compliance with HIPAA guidelines is non-negotiable
(5%) Scanning Department Support
- Supports in the organization of an imaging protocol manual and ensuring software upgrades are implemented
- Maintains oversight of medical equipment inventory and submits supply requisitions as necessary
- Provides support to new team members in their training journey through the sharing of resources and technical know-how
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
Requirements
Required:
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform scanning procedures independently
- CT certification
