RAYUS Radiology is on the lookout for a CT and C-arm Technologist to be a part of their team. As a CT and C-arm Technologist, your main duty will be to operate the provided scanners to capture images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Focusing on patient welfare, you will deliver scanning services that meet professional standards and offer unparalleled customer service. Patients visit our centers in search of answers, and you will assist them by gently walking them through the process, answering their questions, and addressing any concerns they may have about the exam procedures and process. This position is part-time typically working 32 hours per week Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm; includes weekend rotation (no call).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient Imaging
- Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
- Supporting patients in understanding and preparing for imaging scans by elucidating the procedure and arranging their body positions accurately
- Performs standard and complex scanning imaging processes on designated body regions to aid physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illnesses and injuries with minimal supervision, focusing on accuracy to reduce the need for re-scanning, while simultaneously offering verbal comfort and support to patients throughout the procedure
- Adapts scanning parameters accurately and employs suitable dose reduction strategies as necessary
- Maintains an upbeat outlook and nurtures collaborative relationships with radiologists, customers making referrals, and colleagues
- Follow medical professionals' orders accurately and adhere to safety guidelines to safeguard yourself, your patients, and colleagues
- Preserves patient records effectively in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Encourages safety habits for patients and co-workers through the upkeep of a clean and orderly workspace
- Ensures conformity with accreditation stipulations by managing the ACR toolkit effectively
- Preserves the functionality of equipment and disinfects equipment after each use
- Guarantees that all requirements specified in the HIPAA guidelines are being upheld
(5%) Department Support
- Collaborates in the upkeep of an imaging protocol manual and advancements in software upgrades
- Supervises the inventory of healthcare materials and solicits supplies when necessary
- Supports the learning process of new associates by offering resources and technical know-how as needed
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements
Required:
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform scanning procedures independently
Preferred:
- CT certification
- Bilingual
