RAYUS Radiology is seeking a CT Technologist to join our team. We are transforming radiology by highlighting its essential role as the first step in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. Join us and shine brighter together! As a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you will operate assigned scanners to capture diagnostic images of patients’ bodies. With a patient-centered approach, you will deliver scanning services that meet professional standards and provide exceptional customer care. Patients come to our centers seeking answers, and you will support them through this sometimes challenging process by patiently explaining each step and addressing their questions and concerns about the exam procedures. This is a full-time position, working 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at our Woodbridge, VA location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient CT Imaging
- Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
- Explains and prepares patients for scanning imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
- Conducts routine and advanced imaging scans on specified body areas to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating illnesses or injuries, requiring minimal supervision or repeat scans, while providing patient support by communicating with them throughout the procedure.
- Adjusts scanning scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
- Strictly adheres to physicians' orders and safety protocols while accurately documenting patient information in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
- Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers
(5%) Scanning Department Support
- Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
- Tracks medical supply levels and submits requests to replenish supplies as needed.
- Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
