The pay range for this position is $38- $48.94 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology, previously called the Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is actively seeking a CT Technologist to join our team. Our mission is to challenge the existing norms by highlighting the importance of radiology as a pivotal initial step in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. We invite individuals to unite with us and amplify our impact! The CT Technologist role involves operating assigned scanners to create detailed body images for diagnostic purposes. By prioritizing patient-centric care, you will deliver scanning services in alignment with professional standards and offer exceptional customer service. Patients visiting our centers are seeking clarity, and you will play a crucial role in guiding them through the process by communicating clearly, addressing their questions, and alleviating any concerns they may have about examination procedures and protocols. This position is based on a per diem schedule, with shifts available on weekdays from 7:30 am to 4 pm, 8:30 am to 5 pm, and 10:30 am to 7 pm, as well as on Saturdays from 8:15 am to 4 pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient CT Imaging

  • Prior to the examination, the patient is screened for any precautions or contradictions, with a focus on verifying their identity and confirming the correct procedure
  • Patients are briefed on the imaging procedures they will undergo and are positioned appropriately to ensure accurate imaging of specific body parts
  • Carries out standard and advanced imaging scans on specified body regions to aid physicians in the diagnosis and management of patient ailments or trauma, with limited supervision and an emphasis on avoiding the need for rescan, alongside offering patient comfort by engaging in dialogue during the scan
  • Adjusts scan parameters accurately and modifies them as required, implementing appropriate techniques to reduce radiation exposure
  • Sustains a favorable outlook and constructive interactions with radiologists, clients, and fellow team members
  • Following physicians' instructions diligently and abiding by safety standards is crucial for ensuring personal safety and that of both patients and peers
  • Ensures precise upkeep of patient data in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Upholds a neat and orderly work environment to foster safe practices among peers and patients
  • Manages the ACR toolkit to adhere to accreditation criteria
  • Upkeeps equipment to ensure proper functionality and sterilizes equipment post-use
  • Guaranteeing full compliance with the guidelines established by HIPAA

(5%) Scanning Department Support

  • Assists in managing a revised imaging protocol guide and updates to software systems
  • Manages the inventory of medical supplies and initiates procurement of items when required
  • Supports the onboarding process for new team members by sharing resources and technical know-how

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

  • A technologist holding an active ARRT registration and compliant status
  • Successfully finished a radiography course recognized by the American Medical Association (AMA)
  • Licensed Radiology Technologist in the appropriate state, where applicable under law
  • Certification for CPR in the present time
  • Adequate training and experience are required to ensure the independent and competent execution of scanning procedures
  • CT certification

  • Bilingual
