Job Summary

RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging, is looking for a CT & C-arm Technologist to join our team. As a CT and C-arm Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide scanning services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. his is a full-time position working day shifts Monday-Friday; includes Saturday rotation (no call). This position is also available part-time (30-39 hours) working 0.8 or 0.9 status. Willing to train in CT. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient CT Imaging

  • Assessment of patients is carried out before the exam to determine any precautions or contradictions pertinent to the examination, using two patient identifiers to confirm the patient's identity and the procedure required
  • Patients are orientated and made ready for scanning imaging tests by elucidating the procedure and positioning them suitably for accurate imaging of anatomical structures
  • Performs routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
  • Accurately adjusts scanning parameters and modifies them as needed, utilizing effective dose reduction strategies
  • Sustains a positive attitude and nurtures collaborative connections with radiologists, referred clients, and coworkers in the workplace
  • Conform meticulously to the instructions given by doctors and comply with safety protocols to protect yourself, patients, and colleagues
  • Upholds the integrity of patient records in the Radiology Information System (RIS) with care
  • Demonstrates a commitment to safety by keeping the work area organized and clean for the well-being of colleagues and patients
  • Regulates ACR toolkit adjustments and accreditation obligations
  • Keeps equipment in good working order through regular maintenance; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
  • Stays in line with HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy

(5%) Scanning Department Support

  • Supports in the management of an imaging protocol handbook, ensuring it is current, along with software updates
  • Supervises the medical equipment inventory and submits requests for necessary supplies
  • - Facilitates the training of new employees by providing resources and technical expertise, where applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

  • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
  • Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform scanning procedures independently

Preferred:

  • Ct Certification
  • Bilingual
