As a RAYUS CT Technologist, you will join our internal travel team of technologists who serve multiple markets around the country. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(80%) Patient Imaging
- Performs both routine and advanced CT procedures on specific areas of the body to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illnesses or injuries, requiring minimal supervision and reducing the need for repeat scans.
- Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
- Prepares patients for CT procedures by explaining the process, positioning them to ensure accurate scanning of the relevant body parts, and offering support by communicating with them throughout the procedure.
- Produces diagnostic images in assigned area and performs quality control tasks as assigned
- Adjusts scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
- Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination
- Communicates with doctors, nurses, patients, and family members as needed.
- Follows physicians directions precisely and adheres to safety standards to protect themselves, their patients, and coworkers.
- Maintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologist, referring customers and other associates and peers
- Maintains accurate patient records inside the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Maintains an orderly and clean work area to promote good safety habits for patients and co-workers
(15%) Imaging Support
- Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
- Assists in maintaining an updated radiographic protocol manual
- Monitors medical supply inventory
- Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise
(5%) Performs other tasks as assigned
Requirements
Required:
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
- CT certification
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography and licensed as a Radiological Technologist in the relevant state, if applicable.
- Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform radiographic procedures independently
- Valid driver’s license and proof of current insurance
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
