RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is looking for a CT Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a CT Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide scanning services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. This position is full-time working 4, 10 hour day shifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient CT Imaging
- Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
- Prepares and informs patients about scanning imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning patients correctly to ensure accurate imaging of body parts
- Executes routine and advanced scanning imaging techniques on specified body regions to assist healthcare professionals in diagnosing and treating patient illnesses and injuries with minimal supervision or duplicative scans, while engaging in supportive conversations with patients throughout the procedure
- Adequately adjusts scanning parameters and modifies them as needed, employing suitable methods for reducing doses effectively
- Upholds an encouraging demeanor and nurtures strong connections with radiologists, referring clients, and colleagues
- Follow physicians' recommendations diligently and adhere to safety standards to protect yourself, patients, and coworkers from harm
- Preserves patient information meticulously in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Supports safety measures by keeping the work area clean and well-maintained for the benefit of patients and colleagues
- Upholds the ACR toolkit and accreditation standards in place
- Maintains the equipment to ensure it functions properly; disinfects and cleans the equipment after every use
- Validates compliance with every aspect of the HIPAA guidelines
(5%) Scanning Department Support
- Supports in managing the imaging protocol manual to ensure it is current and incorporating software upgrades
- Tracks medical equipment inventory and orders supplies as deemed necessary
- Provides assistance in training new associates by offering expertise and technical guidance when applicable
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
Requirements
Required:
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform scanning procedures independently
- CT certification
