Job Summary

There is a $3,000 relocation or sign on bonus for this position! RAYUS Radiology, formerly known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging, is in need of a CT and C-arm Technologist to join the team. As a CT and C-arm Technologist, you will be responsible for operating assigned scanners to create diagnostic images of patients' bodies. Emphasizing patient-centered care, you will conduct scanning services in accordance with professional standards and with top-notch customer service. Patients visit our centers seeking answers, and you will assist them by gently guiding them through the process, explaining the steps, and addressing any concerns they have about exam procedures. This position is fulltime working Monday-Friday from 9:30am-6:00pm, no call or weekends. Willing to train in CT!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient CT Imaging

  • During the pre-exam stage, the patient is evaluated for any precautions or contradictions related to the examination and two patient identifiers are checked to ensure the correct patient and procedure match
  • Prior to CT or Diagnostic and Therapeutic Injection (DTI) procedures, patients are briefed on the process, placed in the optimal position for precise body scanning, and supported emotionally with ongoing communication during the procedure
  • Conducts regular and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated body areas to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury with minimal supervision or the requirement for repeat scans, while also offering patient support through verbal interaction throughout the procedure
  • Properly sets scanning scan parameters and implements dose reduction techniques as needed
  • Preserves a proactive stance and fosters positive working relationships with radiologists, clients, and peers
  • Abide by physicians' instructions meticulously and adhere to safety standards to secure the well-being of yourself, patients, and coworkers
  • Manages patient records meticulously in the Radiology Information System (RIS) for accuracy
  • Supports safety initiatives by maintaining a clutter-free and hygienic work area for the well-being of coworkers and patients
  • Follows ACR toolkit updates and meets accreditation obligations
  • Upkeeps equipment to ensure its functionality; cleans and disinfects equipment following each use
  • Abides by the regulations stipulated in HIPAA to ensure compliance

(5%) Scanning Department Support

  • Provides support in managing an imaging protocol manual and implementing software upgrades
  • Controls the stock of medical supplies and arranges for supplies to be replenished when required
  • Helps new associates with training by sharing expertise and offering necessary resources

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

  • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
  • Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform scanning procedures independently

Preferred:

  • CT certification
  • Bilingual
