Job Summary
RAYUS Radiology, previously recognized as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is actively seeking a qualified CT/X-Ray Technologist to join our team. As a CT/X-Ray Technologist, your role will involve operating designated scanners to capture diagnostic images of patients' bodies. Engaging with patients in a compassionate manner, you will conduct scanning procedures following professional standards and providing exceptional customer service. Patients seek answers when they visit our centers, and you will play a key role in guiding them through the examination process, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their comfort.
This is a per-diem position working weekdays from 8am-5pm at the Mansfield location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient CT Imaging
- Screening of the patient is carried out before the exam to identify any precautions or contradictions that are pertinent to the procedure, with the implementation of two patient identifiers to confirm the correct patient and examination details
- Guiding patients through the scanning imaging process and positioning them correctly so that the body parts are adequately displayed during the procedure
- Conducts routine and advanced imaging processes on designated body parts to support healthcare providers in diagnosing and addressing patient illnesses effectively and independently, minimizing the need for rescan, and provides patient guidance by communicating with them throughout the examination
- Adjusts scanning scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
- Ensures a positive mindset and effective rapport with radiologists, referring clients, and other professionals
- Comply with physicians' orders meticulously and adhere to safety protocols in place to promote the safety and health of yourself, patients, and coworkers
- Upkeeps patient information meticulously in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Promotes good safety practices by maintaining a clean and organized work area for coworkers and patients alike
- Administers the ACR toolkit in alignment with accreditation mandates
- Keeps equipment in a well-maintained state; disinfects and cleans equipment after every use
- Making sure that all HIPAA regulations are followed is essential
(5%) Scanning Department Support
- Supports in the maintenance of an imaging protocol manual and software enhancements
- Oversees the monitoring of medical equipment inventory and initiates supply requests as needed
- Guides and mentors new associates in their training, imparting knowledge and expertise as required
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform scanning procedures independently
- CT certification
