Job Summary
RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is looking for a CT Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a CT Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide scanning services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. This is a per-diem position from 10am-6pm and is located at our Lady Lake. FL center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient CT Imaging
- Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
- Supporting patients in understanding and readying themselves for imaging scans by providing detailed explanations and positioning guidance
- Conducts routine and specialized scanning imaging examinations on specific body segments to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patient illnesses and injuries, independently and efficiently completing scans without the need for redoing scans, and offering verbal assistance and empathy to patients during the procedure
- Manages scanning parameters effectively, making necessary adjustments, and employing suitable dose reduction techniques as necessary
- Upholds a constructive mindset and cooperative associations with radiologists, referring clients, and colleagues
- Thoroughly following medical instructions and complying with safety protocols are essential steps in safeguarding both personal well-being and that of patients and coworkers
- Sustains the correctness of patient data in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Demonstrates a commitment to safety by upholding cleanliness and orderliness in the work area
- Administers ACR toolkit in alignment with accreditation requirements
- Maintains the equipment to uphold its performance standards; disinfects and cleans the equipment after every use
- Consistently meeting all HIPAA protocol requirements
(5%) Scanning Department Support
- Aids in the revision of an imaging protocol handbook and the integration of software enhancements
- Controls the medical supply inventory and orders more items when needed
- Offers guidance and resources to new employees during their training, leveraging their technical expertise when appropriate
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform scanning procedures independently
- CT certification
