RAYUS Radiology is in need of a CT Technologist to join our team. We are disrupting the norm in radiology by highlighting its pivotal role in the diagnostic and treatment process. Serving as a CT Technologist, you will operate the allocated scanner(s) to produce images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. With a patient-centric mindset, you will administer scanning services in alignment with professional standards and exceptional customer service. Patients arrive at our centers in search of clarity. This position will involve leading patients through the examination process by compassionately explaining the steps and addressing their questions and concerns about the procedures.

This is a Part-time (30-39) position working 30 hours per week. Shifts are 3 - 10 hour shifts Monday through Friday. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient CT Imaging

  • Screening for any precautions or contradictions relevant to the examination is done before proceeding, with two patient identifiers utilized to confirm the correct patient and procedure
  • Patient preparation for imaging scans involves elucidating the procedures to be conducted and positioning individuals appropriately for optimal imaging results
  • Carries out regular and complex scanning imaging scans on selected body parts for the purpose of aiding physicians in diagnosing and managing patient illnesses and injuries independently, while also providing ongoing patient interaction to offer support and guidance during the procedure
  • Ensures accurate scanning by adjusting parameters appropriately and implementing dose reduction techniques as needed
  • Upholds a beneficial attitude and cultivates effective connections with radiologists, clients seeking referrals, and fellow associates
  • Adhere meticulously to the directives of healthcare providers and conform to safety regulations to ensure the safety of yourself, patients, and coworkers
  • Manages patient documentation effectively in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Emphasizes the importance of a clean and organized work space in fostering good safety practices for both patients and colleagues
  • Maintains ACR toolkit protocols and accreditation standards
  • Maintains the functionality of equipment through timely maintenance; cleans and sanitizes equipment after every use to ensure cleanliness
  • Ensures that all HIPAA requirements are followed accordingly

(5%) Scanning Department Support

  • Aids in ensuring the imaging protocol manual is kept current and software upgrades are implemented
  • Monitors the level of medical inventory and requests supplies when they are running low
  • Assists new associates in their training by sharing resources and expertise tailored to their needs

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

  • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
  • Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform scanning procedures independently
  • CT certification
