RAYUS Radiology, formerly known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our team. We are revolutionizing radiology by making it a pivotal first step in diagnosis and treatment. Join us to shine brighter together!
This position is part-time, covering 30-39 hours/week, Monday - Friday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
(90%) Patient Mammography Imaging
- Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and explain mammography procedures to patients, positioning them appropriately.
- Perform routine and advanced mammography imaging procedures for physicians to diagnose and treat illnesses or injuries, providing patient support throughout.
- Adjust mammography scan parameters as needed, using dose reduction techniques appropriately.
- Maintain a positive attitude and good working relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and colleagues.
- Follow physicians' orders precisely and adhere to safety regulations to protect yourself, patients, and coworkers.
- Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Keep the work area orderly and clean, promoting safety for patients and coworkers.
- Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
- Ensure equipment is in good working order, cleaning and disinfecting it after each use.
- Comply with all HIPAA guidelines.
(5%) Mammography Department Support
- Help maintain an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
- Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
- Assist in training new associates, providing technical expertise as needed.
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
Requirements
Required:
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
- Current CPR certification.
- Sufficient training and experience to perform mammography procedures independently.
- Certification in imaging specialty.
- Continuing CEUs in modality as required by MQSA or state-specific regulations.
