RAYUS Radiology, formerly recognized as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is seeking a Mammography Technologist to bolster our workforce. In the role of a Mammography Technologist, you will be tasked with operating your designated imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients' bodies. Adopting a patient-focused approach, you will provide Mammography services in line with professional standards and a commitment to excellence in customer service. Patients seek answers when they come to our centers. Your role will involve compassionately assisting them through what can sometimes be a challenging experience, explaining examination procedures and addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have.

This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient Mammography Imaging

Prior to the exam, the patient's details are reviewed for any precautions or contradictions that could potentially impact the examination, with the use of two patient identifiers to validate the correct patient and procedure
In the context of mammography imaging, patients are guided through the procedure and positioned in a manner that allows for precise imaging of the relevant body parts
Carries out standard and specialized Mammography imaging procedures on specific body areas to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patient illness and injury with minimal supervision or repeat scans, all the while offering patient support through verbal communication
Modifies mammography scan settings accurately and adjusts as necessary, using dose reduction methods when applicable
Preserves a beneficial attitude and nurtures productive connections with radiologists, clients seeking referrals, and peers and associates
Complies meticulously with physicians' orders and safety regulations to maintain the safety of oneself and others in the healthcare environment
Manages patient records meticulously within the Radiology Information System (RIS)
Promotes safety among patients and co-workers by keeping the workspace orderly and clean
Maintains compliance with accreditation requirements and oversees the ACR toolkit
Preserves equipment in good working condition; disinfects and cleans equipment following each utilization
Ensuring that all protocols dictated by HIPAA are being complied with

(5%) Mammography Department Support

Help in the management of an imaging protocol manual to ensure its relevance and incorporating software upgrades
Tracks the availability of medical supplies and arranges for replenishments as necessary
Supports the onboarding process of new team members through the provision of resources and technical knowledge

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform Mammography procedures independently
Certification in imaging specialty
Must have continuing CEU's in modality as required by MQSA or state specific
