As part of our team, your role as a Mammography Technologist is essential in ensuring that our patients get the best possible care. RAYUS Radiology, formerly known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is looking for an experienced individual to fill this position. In this position, you will be responsible for running assigned scanners, which generate images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient-centric approach, you will offer Mammography services grounded on professional standards and excellent customer service. As patients seek answers at our centers, your role will entail guiding them through the process, providing clear instructions and addressing any concerns or questions they may have regarding the exam procedures. The job position is full-time, and our expectations are that you report to work from Monday to Friday.

This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient Mammography Imaging

  • Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
  • Explains and prepares patients for Mammography imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
  • Administers routine and advanced Mammography imaging procedures on designated body parts to assist doctors in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This is accomplished with minimal supervision, and repeat scans are uncommon. Patient moral is upheld by the technician frequently interacting with them during the scan
  • It is important to correctly adjust parameters for mammography scans and to use techniques that reduce the dosage when appropriate
  • Ensures a positive demeanor while cultivating amicable ties with radiologists, clients recommended, and co-workers
  • Follow physicians' instructions to the letter and abide by safety standards to ensure the well-being of your patients, coworkers, and yourself
  • Ensuring that patient records in the Radiology Information System are correct is crucial
  • Creating an environment that promotes safety and cleanliness for patients and colleagues by maintaining an orderly work area
  • The ACR toolkit and accreditation stipulations are always maintained without fail
  • Keeps the equipment in top-notch condition by performing cleaning and disinfecting procedures after every use
  • Follows all HIPAA recommendations to ensure compliance

(5%) Mammography Department Support

  • Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
  • Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
  • Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

  • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
  • Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform Mammography procedures independently
  • Certification in imaging specialty
  • Must have continuing CEU's in modality as required by MQSA or state specific
