This role is eligible for a $8K sign-on bonus!

The shift for this position is Monday and Friday 10:30am - 6:00pm, Saturday and Sunday 7:30am - 8:00pm.

The pay range for this position is $38- $53.82 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as an MRI Technologist. In the role of an MRI Technologist, you will be tasked with operating MRI scanners to produce detailed images of patients' anatomies in aid of diagnostic assessments. By focusing on patient well-being, you will deliver MRI services in compliance with professional standards and provide top-notch customer service to ensure a positive experience for all patients involved.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

  • Conducting a pre-examination screening procedure helps in identifying any precautions or contradictions relevant to the examination, with the use of two patient identifiers to confirm the correct individual and procedure details
  • By explaining the MRI process and assisting patients in positioning themselves correctly, healthcare providers help ensure that the imaging of their body parts is conducted accurately and effectively
  • Performs standard and complex MRI scans on specific body regions to assist healthcare professionals in diagnosing and treating patient conditions with minimal supervision or need for repeat scans, all while maintaining communication and providing comfort to patients during the procedure
  • Makes precise changes to MRI scan parameters based on the situation
  • Maintains an optimistic approach and collaborative relationships with radiologists, referring clients, and peers in the field
  • Executing physicians' directives with precision and complying with safety protocols are crucial for the protection of oneself, patients, and coworkers
  • Chronologically manages patient documentation within the Radiology Information System (RIS) for effective record-keeping
  • Supporting good safety practices by keeping the workspace orderly and clean for patients and co-workers
  • Follows ACR toolkit specifications and accreditation obligations
  • Maintains the good working condition of equipment; cleans and sterilizes equipment after each use
  • Verifying that all operations are in line with the requirements laid out by HIPAA guidelines

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • Assists with managing an updated imaging protocol manual and overseeing the implementation of software updates
  • Maintains oversight of medical equipment inventory and orders supplies as deemed necessary
  • Assists in educating new associates by providing resources and technical proficiency where appropriate

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

  • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
  • Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently
  • Certification in imaging specialty

Preferred:

  • Bilingual
