RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As an MRI Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
This is a temporary/PRN position providing day and weekend coverage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
- Prior to the examination, the patient undergoes a screening process to identify any potential precautions or contradictions that may affect the procedure. This careful assessment is crucial for maintaining the patient's well-being and minimizing any risks associated with the examination
- Preparing individuals for MRI examinations encompasses describing the procedure in detail and positioning them accurately to enhance the imaging of specific body areas. Educating patients on the MRI process and guiding them into the correct positions are essential components of preparing them for the scan
- Executes routine and complex MRI procedures on specific body parts to aid healthcare professionals in diagnosing and addressing patient illnesses and injuries independently, with minimal supervision or the need for reiterations of scans, while ensuring patient comfort through verbal engagement during the process
- Modifies MRI scan parameters with precision and as necessary
- Preserves an optimistic mindset and nurtures professional relationships with radiologists, referring clients, and colleagues
- Conforming meticulously to the instructions given by physicians and upholding safety standards is essential for the safety of yourself, patients, and colleagues
- Records patient information meticulously in the Radiology Information System (RIS) for accuracy
- Supports a safe and secure workplace by maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area
- Sustains ACR toolkit and complies with accreditation specifications
- Sustains equipment in proper working order; disinfects equipment after each use
- Maintaining compliance with the stipulations in the HIPAA guidelines is essential
(5%) MRI Department Support
- Supports in ensuring the imaging protocol manual is current and software is upgraded
- Tracks the status of medical supply inventory and initiates procurement of supplies as needed
- Aids in the education of fresh associates, sharing expertise and relevant technical information
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements
Required:
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently
- Certification in imaging specialty
