The pay range for this position is $28.71-$44.86 based on direct and relevant experience.
This role offers a $5,000 relocation or sign-on bonus! RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Float MRI Technologist to join our team. In this position, you’ll operate MRI scanners to capture diagnostic images at various centers throughout the market. You will provide leadership and technical support to MRI services, ensuring that all procedures meet professional standards and deliver excellent customer care. You’ll also stay self-driven to expand your knowledge of the field, diseases, and emerging procedures. This full-time role is based in Burnsville, Lakeville, and Eagan, with day and evening shifts, including weekend rotations—but no on-call duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(75%) Patient Imaging
- Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats
- Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination
- Prepares patients for MR procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, position patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned, and providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
- Adjusts scan parameters correctly and as needed
- Maintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologist, referring customers and other associates and peers
- Communicates with doctors, nurses, patients, and their families as needed.
- Strictly adheres to physicians’ instructions and complies with safety protocols to ensure the protection of yourself, patients, and coworkers.
- Accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Maintains an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers
(20%) Imaging Support
- Keeps equipment well-maintained and ensures it is cleaned and disinfected after every use.
- Assists with maintaining an updated MRI protocol manual and software upgrades
- Monitors medical supply inventory
- Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise
(5%) Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements
Required:
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MR and/or radiographic procedures independently
- Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance
Preferred:
- MR certification
- Bilingual
