Job Summary:
RAYUS Radiology, formerly known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is seeking an MRI Technologist to become part of our team. In this role, you’ll operate MRI equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients while also offering technical expertise and leadership to ensure high-quality MRI services. You’ll help maintain professional standards and deliver exceptional patient care. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, continuously advancing their knowledge of imaging technology, medical conditions, and evolving procedures in the field.
This is a per diem position and will be scheduled to cover time off. This position is located at our DeSoto, TX location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(80%) Patient Imaging
- Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats
- Reviews patient history and evaluates for any precautions or contraindications prior to performing the exam.
- Prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure and positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
- Adjusts scan parameters correctly and as needed
- Maintains a professional and collaborative attitude while fostering strong relationships with radiologists, referring offices, colleagues, and peers.
- Converses with doctors, nurses, patients and family members as required
- Strictly adheres to physicians’ instructions and complies with safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients, coworkers, and self.
- Maintains accurate patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Maintains an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers
- Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
(15%) Department Support
- Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
- Supports the upkeep of the MRI protocol manual and assists with implementing software updates.
- Monitors medical supply inventory
- Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise
(5%) Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements
Required:
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
- ARRT advanced MR certification
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Training and experience sufficient to competently perform MR and/or radiographic procedures independently
