You can find our Outpatient Centers equipped with MRI technology in Federal Way, Renton, Lakewood, and Puyallup. We provide day, evening, and weekend shifts to accommodate your scheduling needs. The pay range for the MR Technologist is $29.92- $53.82 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology, previously known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is actively seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. In the role of an MRI Technologist, you will be tasked with operating the assigned scanners to create body images for diagnostic purposes. Upholding a patient-focused approach, you will deliver MRI services in adherence to professional standards, while also delivering exceptional customer service. Patients come to our facilities seeking answers, and your role will involve supporting them through the process by communicating kindly, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

  • Pre-examination screening involves checking for any precautions or contradictions that may impact the procedure, confirming the patient's identity and the required examination with two distinct identifiers
  • Guides patients through MRI procedures by explaining what will happen and positioning them correctly for the scan to be effective
  • Carries out routine and advanced magnetic resonance imaging tests on specified bodily areas to assist doctors in diagnosing and addressing patient ailments and injuries independently and without the need for repeated scans. Engages in dialogue with patients to provide support and guidance throughout the MRI examination
  • Correctly modifies MRI scan parameters to meet requirements
  • Ensures a positive attitude and nurtures professional relationships with radiologists, clients, and colleagues to support a cohesive work atmosphere
  • Complies accurately with physicians' orders and adheres to safety protocols in place to protect oneself, patients, and colleagues
  • Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS) in a meticulous manner
  • Promotes good safety protocols by consistently maintaining a neat and orderly work area
  • Administers the ACR toolkit to meet accreditation demands and guidelines
  • Upkeeps equipment to ensure proper functioning; sanitizes and sterilizes equipment after every use
  • Maintains compliance with the specified mandates within the HIPAA framework

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • Assists in the maintenance of a revised imaging protocol manual along with the integration of software enhancements
  • Monitors the levels of medical resources and asks for replenishment as needed
  • Helps train new associates by imparting knowledge and technical know-how, where appropriate

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

  • Technologist holding valid ARRT registration, in a current and satisfactory status
  • Radiography school alumni accredited by the American Medical Association (AMA)
  • A qualified Radiologic Technologist licensed as per state regulations, where applicable
  • It is crucial to possess a valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • The capability to perform MRI scans autonomously demands sufficient training and practical experience
  • Achieving certification in a specialized area of imaging is crucial for professionals aiming to enhance their expertise and credibility
