Are you seeking for flexibility and the possibility to work extra hours? We are looking for PRN/Temporary MRI Technologists in the Bellevue region.Our outpatient centers with MRI are located in Bellevue, Issaquah, Kirkland, Northgate Seattle, and Everett. We provide dayshifts, evening shifts, and weekends to accommodate your schedule. We provide flexibility, work-life balance, and opportunity for advancement. Enjoy the shift and PRN differentials! The pay range for the MR Technologist is $38 - $53.82 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is seeking an MRI Technologist to join their team. We are challenging the current quo by highlighting radiography as a vital first step in diagnosis and therapy. Join us and shine brighter together! As an MRI Technologist, you will use your allocated scanner(s) to capture images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Using a patient-centered approach, you will provide MRI services that meet professional standards and offer exceptional customer service. Each patient comes to our institutions looking for answers. You will walk patients through this sometimes challenging process, explaining each step and answering any questions or concerns they may have about exam procedures and processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

  • Before any examination takes place, the patient is carefully assessed to identify any potential risks or challenges that may need to be addressed
  • In order to achieve optimal results from the MRI, it is important to ensure that the patient is positioned correctly. The assistance will help guide the patient into the appropriate position and make necessary adjustments throughout the procedure to ensure that the desired areas of the body are visible on the imaging
  • Carries out standard and advanced MRI techniques for targeted bodily regions in order to support doctors in diagnosing and treating medical concerns. This role operates with minimal oversight and provides comfort to patients throughout the procedure with conversation
  • Sets the MRI scan parameters correctly and modifies them if required
  • Upholds a constructive demeanor and fosters harmonious connections with radiologists, referring clients, and other team members
  • Comply with the precise instructions of the physician and adhere to safety protocols to ensure the safety of yourself, your patients, and your colleagues
  • Accurately manages patient records with the help of Radiology Information System (RIS), resulting in streamlined operations and efficient information exchange
  • Upholds a structured and sanitary work area, ensuring a safe environment for all at all times
  • Consistently updating and refining the ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements ensures a continuous and ongoing improvement process that aligns with the rapidly evolving technological advancements in the field of radiology
  • Maintains the equipment well to prevent mechanical faults; cleans and disinfects every instrument after each use
  • Complete compliance with all HIPAA guidelines is assured

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
  • Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
  • Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

  • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
  • Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently
  • Certification in imaging specialty

Preferred:

  • Bilingual
