If you are a registered Radiologic technologist or CT technologist, we are open to offering training. Passing the MRI registry is mandatory within 24 months of employment if you are cross-trained.

RAYUS Radiology, formerly recognized as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is on the hunt for an MRI Technologist to join our team. We are revolutionizing the practice of radiology by emphasizing its significance in the initial stages of diagnosis and appropriate therapy. Collaborate with us in casting a brighter light on the road to wellness. The duties of an MRI Technologist include managing specific scanners to generate images of patients for diagnostic evaluation. Prioritizing patient-centric care, you will administer MRI services maintaining high professional standards and a focus on exceptional customer service. At our facilities, patients seek clarity, and your responsibility will involve supporting them through the often daunting process by providing clear instructions, addressing their concerns, and clarifying any questions they may have about the examination protocols. This full-time position requires commitment from Monday to Friday, from 12:30pm to 9:00pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

  • Conducts a pre-exam assessment of the patient to identify any precautions or contradictions relevant to the examination, confirming the patient's identity through the use of two identifiers for accurate verification of patient and procedure
  • Guiding patients through the MRI procedure, clarifying details, and ensuring they are positioned correctly to achieve precise imaging results
  • Carries out both basic and specialized magnetic resonance imaging scans on specific body areas to assist doctors in diagnosing and managing patient conditions, requiring little oversight or the necessity for redoing scans, and delivers patient comfort by engaging in conversation during the imaging procedure
  • Ensures proper calibration of MRI scan parameters as required
  • Sustains a favorable outlook and cultivates strong connections with radiologists, clients, and fellow team members
  • Strictly follow the directives of medical professionals and adhere to safety guidelines in order to ensure the well-being of yourself, patients, and colleagues
  • Ensures the precision of patient documentation in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Upholds a neat and clean working environment to cultivate a culture of safety among peers and clients
  • Manages adherence to ACR toolkit and accreditation criteria
  • Sustains the upkeep of equipment to keep it in optimal working condition and sanitizes equipment after each utilization
  • Ensures that all requirements under the HIPAA guidelines are being met

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • Helps to ensure the imaging protocol manual is up to date and manages upgrades to software
  • Manages the inventory of medical supplies and places orders accordingly
  • Aids in the education of new staff members, offering resources and specialized skills as needed

Requirements

Required:

  • Registered with the ARRT as a technologist, currently active and in compliance
  • Completed schooling in radiography from an institution accredited by the American Medical Association (AMA)
  • Radiological Technologist possessing the necessary license as per state regulations, if needed
  • Certification for CPR that is current
  • Required qualifications include the training and expertise to proficiently carry out imaging tests without reliance on others
  • Certification focusing on imaging specialty

  • Bilingual
