RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As an MRI Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. This position is per diem, hours/shift will vary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
- Identifying any precautions or contradictions before the examination is essential for patient safety and wellbeing, and this process is enhanced by confirming two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
- Helping patients comprehend and prepare for MRI scans by explaining the process and positioning their bodies appropriately
- Executes routine and advanced MRI procedures on specified body segments to assist physicians in diagnosing and managing patient illnesses and injuries with minimal oversight. Provides patient reassurance and communication during scans to ensure a positive experience
- Fine-tunes MRI scan settings correctly and in accordance with requirements
- Fosters a constructive attitude and cultivates positive working relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and team members
- It is essential to conform precisely to physicians' orders and observe safety regulations to protect oneself, patients, and coworkers
- Records patient details meticulously in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- - Upholds cleanliness and orderliness in the work area as a means to prioritize safety for both colleagues and patients
- Ensures adherence to the ACR toolkit and its accreditation mandates
- Maintains equipment to a high standard; disinfects and cleans equipment after every use
- Ensures that all HIPAA regulations are followed accordingly
(5%) MRI Department Support
- Collaborates on the upkeep of an imaging protocol manual and the implementation of software advancements
- Maintains oversight of medical equipment levels and requests for replenishment of supplies as necessary
- Plays a role in guiding and training new associates, offering resources and expertise where applicable
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements
Required:
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently
- Certification in imaging specialty
