Job Summary

RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As an MRI Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.

This position is fulltime working three 13 hour shifts a week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

  • Checks for any precautions or contradictions concerning the examination through a patient assessment, confirming patient and procedure accuracy using two specific identifiers
  • Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
  • Executes regular and advanced MRI scans on specific body regions to assist medical professionals in diagnosing and managing patient illness and injury, requiring little supervision or repetition, and provides patient comfort by maintaining verbal contact throughout the procedure
  • Sets MRI scan parameters correctly and adjusts them as needed
  • Maintains a proactive approach and professional ties with radiologists, customers, and other associates
  • Adhere precisely to medical guidelines and adhere to safety standards to ensure the welfare of oneself, patients, and coworkers
  • Maintains patient documentation integrity in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Promotes safety practices by maintaining a clean and orderly work area for both patients and co-workers
  • Sustains the ACR toolkit and accreditation specifications
  • Sustains the equipment's operational status and cleanses it for sanitation purposes
  • Maintains adherence to HIPAA protocols to protect sensitive health data

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • Supports the management of an imaging protocol manual and the implementation of software upgrades
  • Supervises the inventory of medical resources and arranges for supply replenishment as necessary
  • Provides guidance and expertise to new associates during the training process

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

  • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
  • Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently
  • Certification in imaging specialty

Preferred:

  • Bilingual
