RAYUS Radiology is in need of a Technologists Assistant to be part of their team's efforts to redefine the field of radiology by stressing its importance in the diagnostic process. The responsibilities of a Technologists Assistant include supporting technologists in keeping to schedules and ensuring the systematic functioning of the scanning area.

This is a part-time (30-39) position working 34 hours per week; shifts will vary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(70%) Technologist Assistance

  • Monitors MRI, CT, arthrogram and x-ray schedules
  • Alters patients' schedules when necessary and ensures that all technicians are briefed about any changes
  • Greet incoming patients and escort them to the changing room while giving a brief explanation of the procedure that will follow
  • Prepares patient envelopes and arranges X-ray films within the jackets according to specific chronological placement and numerical identification
  • The assistant aids technologists by setting up the room for the next patient, which includes putting the correct coil on the table, stowing away the previous coil, and replacing the table sheet
  • Aiding the technologist in adhering to their schedule by getting the next patient ready in advance of the current patient finishing
  • Recovers and establishes connections for past exams to be reviewed by returning patients on the following day

(20%) Cleaning & Organization

  • Oversees the tidying and sanitation of work and MRI spaces
  • Ensures that there is a neat and organized setup in all MRI patient areas
  • Organizes and restocks the patient prep room and restroom for use
  • At the close of business hours, the individual is responsible for stocking linens and handling laundry tasks
  • Handles the sorting and cleaning of supply closet and computer quarters
  • Cleans and organizes the radiologist's reading station once the radiologist has left for the day
  • Reaches out to MRI technologists, individuals from the medical records department, and front office team to confirm if there are any other tasks that need to be taken care of

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Enrollment in current radiologic technologist program
