RAYUS Radiology is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. We are redefining radiology by highlighting its crucial role as the first step in diagnosis and effective treatment. Join us and shine brighter together! As an MRI Technologist, you will operate assigned MRI scanners to capture diagnostic images of patients’ bodies. With a patient-centered focus, you will deliver MRI services that meet professional standards and provide excellent customer care. Patients come to our centers seeking answers, and you will support them through this sometimes challenging process by patiently explaining each step and addressing their questions and concerns about exam procedures. This is a part-time position, working 36 hours per week on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

  • Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
  • Prepares patients for MRI procedures by clearly explaining the process and positioning them correctly to ensure accurate imaging of the targeted body areas.
  • Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
  • Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
  • Adheres strictly to physicians' orders and safety protocols while accurately documenting patient information in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers
  • Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • Helps maintain the imaging protocol manual by keeping it current and assists with software upgrades as needed.
  • Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
  • Supports the training of new associates by offering technical expertise and serving as a resource when needed.

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
