Our Outpatient Centers with MRI are in Palm Beach Gardens, Wellington, West Palm Beach, West Boynton, East Boynton, Delray Beach, Boca Raton, and North Broward (Boca Raton West). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
- Screens the patient for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to the examination, cross-referencing two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient identification and procedure confirmation
- Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
- Performs routine and advanced magnetic resonance imaging procedures on specified body areas to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illnesses and injuries with minimal supervision or the need for repeated scans, all the while providing patient support by communicating with them throughout the process
- Makes accurate adjustments to MRI scan parameters as needed during the imaging process
- Maintains a constructive approach and cultivates positive rapport with radiologists, customers, and colleagues
- Obey healthcare providers' directives precisely and comply with safety standards to protect yourself, patients, and colleagues
- Accurately documenting patient details in the Radiology Information System (RIS) is imperative
- Emphasizes the importance of a well-maintained and organized workspace in fostering a safe environment for patients and co-workers
- Manages the ACR toolkit updates and accreditation compliance
- Maintains equipment functionality by conducting regular upkeep procedures; disinfects equipment after each use to promote a sanitary environment
- Ensures that all protocols mandated by HIPAA are diligently followed
(5%) MRI Department Support
- Contributes to the management of an updated imaging protocol manual and improvements in software
- Administers the tracking of medical supply inventory and orders supplies when appropriate
- Supports the training of new team members, offering resources and technical guidance when needed
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
Requirements
Required:
- ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, dependent on State regulations and business needs
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently
- Certification in imaging specialty
