Job Summary:
This position includes a $3,000 relocation or sign-on bonus! RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging, is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will operate assigned MRI scanners to capture diagnostic images of patients’ bodies. With a patient-centered approach, you’ll deliver MRI services that meet professional standards while providing outstanding customer care. Patients come to us seeking answers, and you’ll support them throughout the sometimes challenging process by clearly explaining each step and addressing their questions and concerns about exam procedures.
This position is fulltime working Monday-Friday from 2:00pm-10:30pm (no call); includes weekend rotation. This position is available for part-time working 30-39 hours/week (0.8 or 0.9 status). We are willing to train in MRI!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
- Reviews patients before their exams to identify any precautions or contraindications related to the procedure, verifying patient identity with two identifiers to ensure the correct patient and exam.
- Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
- Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
- Accurately modifies MRI scan settings as required to optimize imaging.
- Maintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologist, referring customers and other associates and peers
- Strictly adheres to physicians’ instructions and complies with safety protocols to ensure the well-being of yourself, patients, and colleagues.
- Accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Maintains an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers
- Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
- Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
- Ensures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines
(5%) MRI Department Support
- Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
- Keeps track of medical supply levels and orders additional items when needed.
- Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
Requirements
Required:
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently
Preferred:
- Certification in imaging specialty
- Bilingual
