Job Summary

There is a $3,000 sign on or relocation bonus available for this position! RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.

This position is an add to staff due to growth! This is a fulltime position working Monday-Friday from 1:00pm-9:30pm (no call), includes a Saturday rotation. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

  • Pre-exam assessments are carried out to identify any precautions or contradictions concerning the examination, with the use of two patient identifiers to verify the accurate patient and procedure
  • Educates and assists patients in preparing for MRI scans, explaining the procedure and positioning patients adequately for precise imaging
  • Conducts routine and complex MRI scans on designated body areas to assist physicians in diagnosing and managing patient conditions independently, offering verbal support to patients to alleviate anxiety during the procedure
  • Modifies MRI scan parameters correctly and as deemed suitable
  • Maintains a constructive attitude and fosters effective working relationships with radiologists, referring clients, and peers
  • Adhere rigorously to the guidelines set by physicians and adhere to safety regulations to safeguard your well-being, that of your patients, and your colleagues
  • Records patient information meticulously in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Emphasizes the importance of maintaining a clean and organized workspace to uphold safety standards for all individuals involved
  • Administers ACR toolkit upkeep and accreditation essentials
  • Maintains the functionality of equipment by conducting upkeep activities; cleans and sterilizes equipment following each use
  • Maintains compliance with all HIPAA regulations

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • - Aids in ensuring the imaging protocol manual is updated and facilitates software upgrades
  • Monitors the availability of medical supplies and requests replenishments as required
  • Supports the training of new associates through sharing expertise and providing resources as appropriate

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

  • ARMRIT or ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
  • Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification

Preferred:

  • Certification in imaging specialty
  • Bilingual
