The pay range for this position is $27.84- $49.96 based on direct and relevant experience. 

RAYUS Radiology is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. We are transforming radiology by highlighting its essential role as the first step in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. Join us and help us shine brighter together! As an MRI Technologist, you will operate assigned MRI scanners to capture diagnostic images of patients’ bodies. With a patient-focused approach, you will deliver MRI services that meet professional standards while providing exceptional customer care. Patients come to our centers seeking answers, and you will support them through this sometimes challenging process by patiently explaining each step and addressing their questions and concerns about the exam procedures. This is a full-time position with day shifts working four 10-hour days and rotating Saturdays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

  • Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
  • Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
  • Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
  • Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
  • Adheres strictly to physicians' orders and safety protocols while accurately documenting patient information in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers
  • Ensures compliance with ACR toolkit standards and accreditation requirements.

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
  • Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
  • Supports the training of new associates by offering technical knowledge and serving as a resource when needed.

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
