Job Summary
RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is currently seeking an MRI Technologist to become a part of our team. Join us as we strive to make a brighter impact together! As an MRI Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to operate assigned scanners to produce diagnostic images of patients' bodies. Adhering to a patient-centric approach, you will provide MRI services in accordance with professional standards and deliver exceptional customer service. Patients come to our centers in search of answers. Your role will involve guiding them through the sometimes daunting examination process by explaining procedures, addressing questions, and easing any concerns they may have. This position is full-time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
- A screening process is conducted on the patient before the examination to identify any essential precautions or contradictions regarding the procedure, utilizing two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
- Before the MRI scan, patients are given information about the procedure and positioned appropriately to ensure effective imaging of the targeted body areas
- Carries out both routine and complex MRI scans on specific anatomical areas to aid physicians in diagnosing and managing patient conditions independently with minimal redundancy, and provides patient comfort and encouragement by maintaining a dialogue and offering support during the scanning procedure
- Ensures accurate MRI scan parameters are in place
- Preserves a favorable mindset and harmonious interactions with radiologists, clients requesting referrals, and fellow peers and associates
- Adheres strictly to doctors' orders and follows safety regulations meticulously to ensure the safety of oneself, patients, and coworkers
- Manages patient records in the Radiology Information System (RIS) with accuracy and attention to detail
- Encourages good safety practices for patients and colleagues through the maintenance of a neat work area
- Ensures that accreditation standards are met by maintaining the ACR toolkit
- Preserves the condition of equipment; sanitizes and cleans equipment once it has been used
- Ensures that compliance with HIPAA standards is upheld at all times
(5%) MRI Department Support
- Helping with the management of an updated imaging protocol handbook and software enhancements
- Tracks the availability of medical inventory and places orders for supplies as needed
- Offers assistance in the training of newly hired staff, providing resources and technical proficiency as required
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
Requirements
Required:
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently
- Certification in imaging specialty
