Job Summary:
RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will operate assigned MRI scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images of patients’ bodies. With a patient-centered approach, you will deliver MRI services that adhere to professional standards while providing exceptional customer care.
Our patients come to us seeking answers, and you will play a vital role in guiding them through what can be a challenging process—kindly explaining each step and addressing their questions and concerns about exam procedures.
This position is an add to staff due to growth! This is a fulltime position working Monday-Friday from 1:00pm-9:30pm (no call), includes a Saturday rotation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
- Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
- Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures by clearly describing the process, positioning patients to ensure the targeted body parts are accurately scanned, and providing reassurance and support throughout the exam.
- Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated body areas for physicians to diagnose and treat patient illnesses or injuries, with minimal supervision and few repeat scans, while offering continuous patient support through clear communication during the procedure.
- Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
- Maintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologist, referring customers and other associates and peers
- Follows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect yourself, your patients, and coworkers
- Accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Maintains an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers
- Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
- Maintains imaging equipment in optimal working condition; performs cleaning and disinfection of equipment after each patient use to ensure safety and compliance.
- Ensures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines
(5%) MRI Department Support
- Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
- Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
- Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
Requirements
Required:
- ARMRIT or ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
Preferred:
- Certification in imaging specialty
- Bilingual
