RAYUS Radiology is looking to hire an MRI Technologist to be part of our team. We are overturning the established conventions by emphasizing the importance of radiology as a pivotal first step in diagnosis and treatment. Join us in our journey to shine a brighter light on this essential field! As an MRI Technologist, your role will involve operating designated scanners to produce body images for diagnostic purposes. Employing a patient-centric approach, you will administer MRI services in accordance with professional standards and exceptional customer care. Patients seek answers when they come to our centers. Your task will be to support them through the process, explaining procedures and addressing any questions and concerns they have about the exam process. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
- Screening the patient for any precautions or contradictions that may impede the examination process is crucial, with a strict protocol in place for confirming the patient's identity using two identifiers before initiation of the procedure
- Briefs patients on MRI procedures, outlining the process and positioning patients appropriately to achieve accurate imaging outcomes
- Performs standard and advanced MRI scans on specified body regions to aid doctors in diagnosing and managing patient illnesses and injuries, with minimal supervision or need for additional scans, while also providing emotional support to patients by engaging in conversation during the examination
- Appropriately adapts the MRI scan settings as necessary and with attention to detail
- Sustains a constructive attitude and cooperative connections with radiologists, referring clients, and team members
- Obey physicians' instructions diligently and adhere to safety rules to ensure the protection of yourself, patients, and coworkers
- Safeguards the correctness of patient data in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Fosters a safe environment for patients and coworkers by consistently keeping the work area organized and clean
- Sustains ACR toolkit and endorsement stipulations
- Maintains the functionality of equipment and sanitizes it following each use
- Ensures that all policies align with the rules set forth in HIPAA
(5%) MRI Department Support
- Contributes to the management of an updated imaging protocol manual and the installation of software updates
- Watches over the medical equipment inventory and arranges for supply replenishment as required
- Assists in the coaching of recently hired colleagues, providing resources and technical insights as required
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
Requirements
Required:
- A technologist registered with ARRT, maintaining good standing in the field
- Completed studies at a radiography school approved by the American Medical Association (AMA)
- Radiological Technologist holding a valid state license if needed
- Being up to date with CPR certification is crucial
- The capability to conduct MRI scans autonomously necessitates adequate training and practical familiarity
- Certification for specialized imaging practices
