RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As an MRI Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
This is a temporary/PRN position working days, evenings, or weekends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
- A thorough screening process is implemented to identify any precautions or contradictions that may impact the examination, emphasizing the importance of confirming the patient's identity and the procedure being carried out
- Educates patients about MRI procedures and assists them in preparing for the examination, including positioning their bodies appropriately for effective imaging
- Performs regular and specialized MRI scans on specific body regions to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patient conditions by physicians with minimal supervision or repeated scans, while offering patient comfort and communication throughout the procedure
- Alters MRI scan parameters properly and as dictated
- Maintains an upbeat demeanor and promotes constructive interactions with radiologists, clients seeking referrals, and peers within the organization
- Conscientiously obeying physicians' orders and adhering to safety protocols are key in safeguarding oneself, patients, and fellow employees
- Updates and maintains patient data meticulously in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Demonstrates a commitment to safety by promoting cleanliness and orderliness in the work environment
- Manages and upholds accreditation requirements using the ACR toolkit
- Maintains equipment in a state of good repair; sanitizes and sterilizes equipment following each use
- Sustains compliance with every aspect of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations
(5%) MRI Department Support
- Helps in the management of an up-to-date imaging protocol manual and implementing new software versions
- Supervises the stock of medical equipment and initiates requests for additional supplies as needed
- Helps new associates with training by offering technical expertise and necessary resources
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements
Required:
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently
- Certification in imaging specialty
