RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As an MRI Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week; shifts are Monday through Friday, 12:30pm - 9:00pm. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

  • Prior to the exam, the patient is assessed for any precautions or contradictions regarding the procedure, utilizing two patient identifiers to validate the correct patient and procedure
  • Assisting patients in getting ready for MRI scans entails explaining the process and positioning them correctly to optimize the visibility of specific body parts
  • Performs standard and specialized MRI scans on prescribed body parts to support physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illnesses and injuries, with minimal supervision or unnecessary rescan requirements, while maintaining patient comfort through verbal communication throughout the examination
  • Modifies the MRI scan settings accurately and suitably
  • Sustains a constructive attitude and fosters positive working relationships with radiologists, referring clients, and coworkers
  • Conforms diligently to healthcare providers' instructions and abides by safety regulations to prioritize personal safety, patient health, and the well-being of coworkers
  • Ensures the consistent maintenance of patient documentation in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Encourages safety consciousness among patients and co-workers by upholding a neat and orderly work environment
  • Manages the implementation of ACR toolkit guidelines and accreditation necessities
  • Keeps equipment functioning well and sanitizes equipment after each use
  • Guarantees that all actions are in accordance with the HIPAA guidelines

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • Supports the maintenance of an imaging protocol manual that is regularly updated along with software upgrades
  • Regulates the inventory of medical resources and requisitions supplies when needed
  • Supports the training of new associates through the provision of resources and technical guidance

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

  • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
  • Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently
  • Certification in imaging specialty
