RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As an MRI Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. This position is part-time working 24 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday 8:00am - 8:30pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

  • Prior to the examination, the patient undergoes a screening process to identify any precautions or contradictions, with two patient identifiers used to validate the correct patient and procedure
  • Guides patients through MRI procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly to enable precise imaging of targeted body areas
  • Administers standard and specialized MRI tests on specific body sections to aid physicians in diagnosing and addressing patient maladies and trauma with minimal oversight or the requirement for re-scanning, in addition to providing patient assistance by communicating with them during the procedure
  • Alters MRI imaging settings accurately and appropriately
  • Sustains a can-do attitude and fosters strong relationships with radiologists, clients recommending services, and coworkers
  • Follows medical professionals' recommendations diligently and conforms to safety standards to uphold the safety of oneself, patients, and coworkers
  • Ensures the meticulous management of patient records in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Encourages good safety practices for patients and coworkers by keeping the work area orderly and clean
  • Oversees compliance with accreditation requisites by maintaining the ACR toolkit
  • Maintains the equipment to sustain its effectiveness; sanitizes and disinfects the equipment after every use
  • Guarantees that all rules and regulations under the HIPAA guidelines are being complied with

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • Assisting in the upkeep of a current imaging protocol handbook and software enhancements
  • Manages the inventory of medical equipment and organizes supply requests as needed
  • Provides support in training new associates, sharing resources and technical knowledge as appropriate

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

  • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
  • Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently
  • Certification in imaging specialty
