RAYUS Radiology, previously recognized as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is looking for an experienced MRI Technologist to enrich its team. The organization is dedicated to redefining practices in radiology by emphasizing its significance in the initial stages of diagnosis and treatment. As an MRI Technologist, your primary duty will involve operating designated scanners to capture diagnostic images of patients' anatomy. It is essential to approach this task with a patient-centric mindset, ensuring that MRI services are administered with professionalism and exceptional customer service. When patients arrive at our facilities seeking answers, your role as an MRI Technologist will be crucial in guiding them through the process by providing courteous explanations and addressing any concerns they may have regarding examination procedures. This position is full-time, with working hours from 1:00pm to 9:30pm, Monday to Friday, and a rotating Saturday shift every five weeks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

  • The patient is assessed for any precautionary measures or conditions that could impact the examination, and two identifiers are employed to confirm the correct patient and procedure
  • Assists patients in comprehending and preparing for MRI tests, outlining the process and adjusting patient positioning to ensure accurate imaging of targeted body regions
  • Executes both basic and specialized MRI tests on particular body parts to support healthcare professionals in diagnosing and addressing patient illnesses and injuries with little oversight or redundant scans, establishing rapport with patients by engaging in conversation during the procedure
  • Makes proper adjustments to MRI scan parameters according to the situation
  • Upholds a constructive attitude and cultivates harmonious interactions with radiologists, referring clients, and other professionals
  • Follows medical orders meticulously and adheres to safety protocols to uphold the safety of oneself, patients, and peers
  • Maintains accurate patient documentation in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • - Supports safety protocols by ensuring a well-maintained and orderly work area
  • Administers the ACR toolkit to meet accreditation demands
  • Keeps equipment well-maintained and sanitized after every use
  • Ensures that all protocols under the HIPAA guidelines are complied with

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • Helps in the maintenance of a revised imaging protocol manual and the integration of software advancements
  • Manages monitoring of medical resource levels and initiates supply requests when required
  • Supports the development of new associates by providing training and sharing technical knowledge as appropriate

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

  • A technologist with ARRT registration, in a current and valid status
  • Graduated from a school of radiography that meets the standards set by the American Medical Association
  • A certified Radiological Technologist with state authorization where necessary
  • Maintenance of an up-to-date Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification confirms one's readiness to deliver crucial emergency medical interventions
  • Competency in performing MRI procedures autonomously requires a sufficient level of training and hands-on experience
  • Those in the imaging profession can benefit greatly from obtaining a certification in a specialized imaging area
