RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As an MRI Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. This position is per diem, hours/shift will vary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

  • The patient undergoes a pre-examination screening for any precautions or contradictions, with the confirmation of correct patient and procedure through the use of two patient identifiers
  • Assisting patients in understanding and preparing for MRI scans involves outlining the procedure and placing the body in the correct position for imaging
  • Executes routine and intricate MRI scans on prescribed body segments for aiding physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illnesses and injuries, with minimal supervision or the requirement for re-imaging, and facilitates patient comfort by engaging in conversation during the scanning process
  • Adjusts MRI scan settings accurately and appropriately
  • Maintaining a positive attitude and fostering harmonious relationships with radiologists, clients seeking referrals, and other associates within the team
  • Follow physicians' orders accurately and adhere to safety regulations to maintain the safety of yourself, patients, and colleagues
  • Preserves patient records meticulously in the Radiology Information System (RIS) for precision
  • - Maintains a clean and structured work area to promote safety measures for both colleagues and patients
  • Ensures adherence to accreditation stipulations through the ACR toolkit
  • Upkeeps equipment to ensure it operates effectively; sanitizes and disinfects equipment after each usage
  • Ensures that compliance with HIPAA standards is consistently maintained

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • Supporting the development of an updated imaging protocol handbook and software updates
  • Maintains awareness of medical supply levels and submits requests for replenishment as appropriate
  • Helping in the training of new employees by providing expertise and resources as needed

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

  • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
  • Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently
  • Certification in imaging specialty
