RAYUS Radiology, formerly referred to as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is searching for an MRI Technologist to become a part of our dynamic team. Our objective is to challenge conventional norms by underscoring the vital role of radiology as a crucial initial step in diagnosis and effective treatment. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for managing the operation of designated scanners to generate images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. Adhering to a patient-centric approach, you will render MRI services in line with professional standards and deliver outstanding customer service. Every patient who visits our centers is in pursuit of answers. Your duty will be to guide them through the potentially daunting process by compassionately explaining the steps of the procedure and addressing their inquiries and concerns. This is a full-time position with working hours from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
- Conducts a pre-examination screening to identify any precautions or contradictions that may impact the examination process, ensuring the accurate matching of the patient and procedure through the validation of two patient identifiers
- Educating and guiding patients for MRI tests involves clarifying the procedure and positioning individuals correctly for optimal body imaging
- Undertakes standard and advanced MRI scans on particular anatomical areas to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patient illnesses and injuries with minimal supervision, reducing the need for rescans, and provides patient comfort by engaging in conversations throughout the procedure
- Adapts MRI scan parameters appropriately and accordingly to the situation
- Ensures a positive outlook and harmonious working relationships with radiologists, referring clients, and fellow professionals
- Ensure strict compliance with physicians' instructions and safety measures to safeguard yourself, patients, and peers
- Keeps patient information current and organized in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Promotes a culture of safety by maintaining a clean and well-organized work area for both patients and coworkers
- Sustains ACR toolkit and validation standards in line with requirements
- Keeps equipment in a state of good repair through routine maintenance practices; sterilizes equipment after each use
- Maintains compliance with all the stipulations set forth in the HIPAA guidelines
(5%) MRI Department Support
- Assists with ensuring the imaging protocol handbook is up to date and managing software upgrades
- Monitors and controls the availability of medical resources, requesting additional supplies when needed
- Offers assistance in helping new associates learn the ropes, sharing expertise and resources where necessary
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
Requirements
Required:
- A technologist who is certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, currently registered and in satisfactory standing
- Successfully finished studies at an American Medical Association (AMA) recognized radiography institution
- An authorized radiological technician in the applicable state, if needed
- Being CPR certified entails demonstrating proficiency in the essential skills needed to save lives during emergencies involving heart failure or breathing cessation
- Competence in independently performing MRI procedures necessitates a background rich in training and hands-on practice
- Obtaining certification in an imaging specialty requires meeting specific criteria and standards set by accrediting bodies or professional organizations. This process may involve passing examinations, completing practical assessments, and fulfilling continuing education requirements to maintain the credential
