Job Description
RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Nurse Practitioner - Contrast Coverage/Arthrogram Injections, you will be responsible for screening and preparing patients for their procedure and administering and monitoring medications for patients in an outpatient setting. Participates in all aspects of patient care as indicated. Radiology Arthrogram Joint injection experience required.
This is a temporary (PRN) position working day shifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(85%) Patient Care
- Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and reduce apprehension
- Performs Pre MRI arthrogram injection
- Screens patient prior to procedure for any precautions or contra-indications and for MRI safety
- Reviews patient history and complete appropriate consents forms as needed
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments (i.e. contrasts) in accordance with approved standards and regulations for care
- Utilizes competent IV start skills
- Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol
- Participates in an efficient work flow to assist keeping CT/MRI on schedule
- Assures proper documentation in the EMR system
(10%) Administrative Duties
- Completes required administrative duties
- Maintains clean and stocked work environment
- Maintains stock in drug box
(5%) Performs related work as assigned
