JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Chief Technologist, assures that services are provided to patients and referring specialists within professional standards. Maintains positive work relationships with radiologists and other physicians referring to the company.
This is a temporary/PRN position working hours as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(85%) Imaging
- Creates images for diagnostic use within a specific area
- Undertakes quality control tasks as instructed
- Bolsters and stimulates positive customer associations with patients, doctors, visitors, and fellow team members
- Encourages the adoption of good safety habits by diligently upkeeping a tidy work area for patients and co-workers
- Sustains precise patient records in the Radiologic Information System (RIS)
- In medical environments, the Fluoroscopy C-Arm is a valuable tool for guiding procedures and ensuring precision in surgical and outpatient settings
(10%) Department Support
- Participates in team meetings with staff engagement
- Supports in ensuring a modernized radiographic procedure manual
- Deals with departmental phone inquiries and concerns
(5%) Performs other duties as assigned

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES)
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
- Knowledge of current technical skills and procedural understanding to perform a full range of radiologic scanning procedures and injections
- Knowledge of and adherence to ALARA principles
- Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols
- Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines
- Skill in organizing and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completion
- Skill in written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines
- Ability to be flexible in schedule and adaptable to constant change
- Ability to effectively handle details with accuracy
- Ability to maintain regular attendance and on-time arrival to work as scheduled

- Ability to recognize potential abnormalities, adjust process and communicate with radiologist as appropriate

- Ability to resolve service recovery issues and understand when to escalate to the next level
- Ability to operate and adjust scanning and ancillary equipment
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Training and experience sufficient to competently perform radiographic procedures independently
