RAYUS Radiology, previously recognized as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, seeks a Radiologic Technologist to join their team. The role of the Radiologic Technologist encompasses operating designated scanners to produce images of patients' bodies for diagnostic analysis. Adopting a patient-centric perspective, you will render radiologic services in compliance with professional standards, ensuring outstanding customer service. Patients visit our centers in search of answers, and you will assist them by guiding them through the process and addressing any inquiries or reservations they may have regarding the examination procedures.
This is a PRN/ Temp position working between the hours of 7:30am - 4:00pm.
Key duties and functions that are essential:
(90%) Patient Radiologic Imaging
- Screening the patient for any precautions or contradictions related to the examination is conducted before the exam, with two patient identifiers checked to ensure the correct patient and procedure
- Explains and prepares patients for Radiologic imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
- Executes standard and advanced Radiologic imaging processes on assigned body parts for physician utilization in the identification and management of patient illnesses and injuries with limited supervision, engaging in supportive conversations with patients during the examination
- Properly changes radiologic imaging parameters as needed and applies dose reduction strategies when fitting
- Sustains a favorable outlook and harmonious working relationships with radiologists, referring clients, and peers
- By closely following the advice of medical professionals and adhering to safety protocols, one can protect both themselves and others in their care
- Responsible for the meticulous upkeep of patient records in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Supports the maintenance of a neat work environment to foster safety awareness for both patients and coworkers
- Administers the ACR toolkit to meet accreditation prerequisites
- Keeps equipment well-maintained; sanitizes and disinfects equipment post each use
- Ensures that all HIPAA guidelines are followed and complied with
- Handles a Fluoroscopy C-Arm for use in surgical and outpatient interventions
(5%) Radiologic Department Support
- Supports in the maintenance of an up-to-date imaging protocol manual and enhancements to software
- Monitors the availability of medical resources and places requests for additional supplies as needed
- Offers assistance in training new employees, sharing expertise and technical know-how as required
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
Requirements
Required:
- ARRT-registered professional in good standing
- Holder of a diploma from an AMA-sanctioned radiography educational institution
- An authorized radiological technologist in the appropriate jurisdiction, when necessary
- Keeping your Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification current is vital for being prepared to provide immediate assistance during cardiac emergencies
- Competence in performing Radiologic procedures independently requires appropriate training and hands-on practice
