RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. We are redefining radiology by highlighting its vital role as a crucial first step in diagnosis and treatment. Join us and shine brighter together! As a Sonographer, you will operate assigned equipment to create diagnostic images of patients. With a patient-centered focus, you’ll deliver sonography services that meet professional standards while providing outstanding customer care. Patients come to our centers seeking answers, and you will support them by patiently guiding them through each step and addressing their questions and concerns about the exam process.

This is a temp/PRN position working various shifts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient Sonography Imaging

  • Pre-screens patients for any precautions or contraindications related to the exam, verifying identity with two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure.
  • Explains and prepares patients for sonography imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
  • Conducts both routine and advanced sonographic imaging on specific body areas to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating illnesses or injuries, with minimal supervision and few repeat scans. Provides continuous patient support by communicating with patients throughout the procedure.
  • Adjusts Sonography scan parameters correctly and as needed
  • Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, to and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers
  • Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(5%) Sonography Department Support

  • Helps keep the imaging protocol manual current and supports software upgrade activities.
  • Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
  • Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
