Job Summary
RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is looking for a Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide Radiologic services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours each week, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
The pay range for this position is $24.23- $34.86 based on direct and relevant experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient Radiologic Imaging
- The patient undergoes a pre-examination screening to identify any potential risks or contraindications that may affect the procedure, ensuring patient safety
- Educating patients on radiologic imaging procedures involves explaining the process clearly and positioning patients correctly to enhance the imaging quality of specific body parts
- Performs standard and intricate Radiologic imaging procedures on specific body parts to aid physicians in diagnosing and addressing patient illnesses with minimal supervision, avoiding the need for repetitive scans, and ensuring patient support by maintaining conversations during the procedure
- Precisely manipulates radiographic scan parameters and adjusts them as necessary, utilizing techniques to reduce radiation exposure when appropriate
- Maintains a positive mindset and nurtures strong working bonds with radiologists, clients seeking referrals, and peers
- Observe and obey physicians' instructions with accuracy while complying with safety standards to ensure the welfare of oneself, patients, and coworkers
- Preserves patient records with precision in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Encourages good safety practices for both patients and colleagues through the maintenance of a clean and organized work area
- Ensures adherence to ACR toolkit specifications and accreditation mandates
- Ensures equipment is in a state of good repair and sanitizes it regularly
- Ensuring that all guidelines within HIPAA are duly adhered to
- Utilizes a Fluoroscopy C-Arm for tasks within surgical and outpatient procedures
(5%) Radiologic Department Support
- Assists in ensuring the imaging protocol manual is current and handling software upgrades
- Tracks medical supplies on hand and submits orders for replenishment as deemed appropriate
- Aids in the education of fresh recruits, offering support and expertise to assist them in understanding their roles
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
Requirements
Required:
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform Radiologic procedures independently
