Rayus Radiology, formerly known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is in need of a Radiologic Technologist to join its team. Your primary job is to use the scanner(s) you've been assigned to produce images of the patient's body, an important diagnostic tool in medicine. With a patient-oriented approach, provide Radiologic services that comply with professional standards, while providing exceptional customer service. Patients visit our centers with hope to find answers to their health concerns. You'll be their guide through the process, compassionately explaining the exam procedures and addressing any questions and concerns they may have.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours each week, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
The pay range for this position is $24.23- $34.86 based on direct and relevant experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient Radiologic Imaging
- Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
- aligned with the imaging equipment, and ensuring that patient safety and comfort are maintained throughout the procedure
- Utilizes Radiologic techniques to scan specific areas of the body as requested by physicians in order to diagnose and address patient medical conditions, exercising independence and ensuring quality in each scan performed while giving guidance to patients throughout the process
- Makes precise changes to the radiologic scan parameters as necessary, ensuring optimal imaging results, and deploys techniques to reduce dose exposure appropriately
- Keeps a positive outlook and fosters harmonious relationships with radiologists, clients who refer patients, and fellow colleagues
- Adhere to medical directives with utmost caution and strictly comply with safety procedures to safeguard yourself, your colleagues, and patients
- Precisely manages the patient medical history through the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Encourages a safe work environment by keeping the work area organized and clean, for the benefit of patients and colleagues
- ACR toolkit and its associated requirements are carefully maintained to ensure the highest level of quality in medical imaging
- Ensures that the equipment remains in top condition. Cleans and sanitizes the equipment every time it is used
- Maintaining adherence to all HIPAA regulations is of utmost importance
- The Use of a Fluoroscopy C-Arm in Surgery and Outpatient Procedures
(5%) Radiologic Department Support
- Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
- Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
- Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
Requirements
Required:
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform Radiologic procedures independently
