RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Vascular Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. We’re transforming radiology by emphasizing its essential role as the first step in diagnosis and effective treatment. Join us and shine brighter together! In this role, you’ll operate assigned ultrasound equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients. With a patient-centered focus, you’ll deliver sonography services that meet professional standards and provide excellent customer care. Patients come to us seeking answers, and you’ll support them through the sometimes-challenging process by clearly explaining each step and addressing their questions and concerns. This is a full-time position with day shifts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient Sonography Imaging

  • Verifies patient identity with two identifiers and screens for any precautions or contraindications before the exam to ensure accuracy and safety.
  • Explains and prepares patients for sonography imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
  • Performs both routine and advanced sonographic imaging on specific body areas to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating illnesses or injuries, requiring minimal supervision or rescans. Provides ongoing patient support by communicating with patients throughout the procedure.
  • Adjusts Sonography scan parameters correctly and as needed
  • Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, to and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers
  • Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(5%) Sonography Department Support

  • Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
  • Tracks medical supply levels and orders replenishments as needed.
  • Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
