RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is looking for a CT Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a CT Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide scanning services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. This position is per diem, hours/shift will vary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient CT Imaging
- Before beginning the examination, the patient is screened for any precautions or contraindications that are relevant to the procedure, and two patient identifiers are cross-checked to confirm the correct patient and exam details
- Part of the job involves clarifying scanning procedures to patients and positioning them appropriately for accurate imaging
- Conducts standard and complex scanning imaging procedures on designated body areas to support physicians in diagnosing and treating patient ailments and injuries with minimal supervision and without necessitating repeat scans. Additionally, offers patient comfort through conversation during the procedure
- Tweaks scanning parameters accurately and makes adjustments when necessary, incorporating effective dose reduction techniques
- Cultivates a positive outlook and maintains effective rapport with radiologists, referring clients, and other team members
- Adhere precisely to the guidance provided by physicians and conform to safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for yourself, patients, and colleagues
- Maintains accurate patient documentation in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Demonstrates a dedication to safety by promoting cleanliness and organization in the work environment
- Upholds ACR toolkit guidelines and accreditation standards
- Consistently cleans and disinfects equipment to uphold operational efficiency and cleanliness standards
- Maintains alignment with all HIPAA guidelines to uphold regulatory compliance
(5%) Scanning Department Support
- Aids in the management of an updated imaging protocol handbook and software upgrades
- Supervises medical equipment inventory and requests supplies as deemed necessary
- Aids in training new associates by providing guidance and technical know-how as needed
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements
Required
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform scanning procedures independently
- CT certification
