RAYUS Radiology invites applications for the position of Xray/CT Technologist to join our team. As a Xray/CT Technologist, your duties will involve operating relevant scanning equipment to create images of patients' anatomies for diagnostic purposes. Prioritizing patient care, you will administer scanning services in compliance with professional standards and with a strong emphasis on providing outstanding customer service. Patients visit our facilities in search of answers, and you will be instrumental in guiding them through what can sometimes be a challenging experience, by kindly explaining the steps and addressing any questions or concerns they may have regarding the examination procedures.

This is a Temp/PRN position working various hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient CT Imaging

  • A thorough assessment is carried out to determine if the patient has any precautions or contradictions relevant to the examination, with the additional step of double-checking the patient's identity and the intended procedure using two identifiers
  • Clarifying and readying patients for imaging scans by briefing them on the process and ensuring they are positioned correctly for effective scanning
  • Conducts scheduled and complex scanning imaging examinations on specific bodily areas to aid physicians in diagnosing and managing patient diseases and injuries independently and without unnecessary repetitions of scans, all while maintaining patient comfort through verbal communication during the procedure
  • Adjusts scanning scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
  • Maintains optimism and harmonious interactions with radiologists, clients, and peers
  • Adhere precisely to doctors' directives and adhere to safety protocols to safeguard yourself, patients, and colleagues
  • Ensures the correct upkeep of patient information in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Advocates for a clean and structured workspace to encourage safety awareness for colleagues and patients
  • Oversees compliance with ACR toolkit standards and accreditation criteria
  • Sustains equipment in prime working state; cleanses and disinfects equipment following every utilization
  • Guarantees compliance with the comprehensive framework established by HIPAA regulations

(5%) Scanning Department Support

  • Assists with the management of an updated imaging protocol manual and software updates
  • Monitors medical equipment inventory and submits supply orders as necessary
  • Assisting in the training of fresh associates, offering expertise and resources as appropriate

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

  • ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
  • Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform scanning procedures independently
  • CT certification

  • Bilingual
