RAYUS Radiology is seeking a CT Technologist to join our team. We’re transforming radiology by highlighting its essential role as the first step in accurate diagnosis and treatment. Join us and shine brighter together! As a CT Technologist, you will operate assigned scanners to capture diagnostic images of patients. With a patient-centered focus, you’ll deliver imaging services that adhere to professional standards and provide excellent customer care. Patients come to our centers seeking answers, and you’ll support them by gently guiding them through each step and addressing their questions and concerns about the exam process.
This is a Temporary/PRN position working shifts as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient CT Imaging
- Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
- Informs and prepares patients for imaging scans by explaining the procedure and positioning them correctly to ensure accurate imaging of the targeted body areas.
- Performs routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
- Adjusts scanning scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
- Strictly adheres to physicians’ instructions, complies with safety protocols, and accurately updates patient records in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
- Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers
(5%) Scanning Department Support
- Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
- Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
- Supports the training of new team members by offering guidance and technical expertise as needed.
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
